California Junior Scholarship Federation (CJSF)
CALIFORNIA JUNIOR SCHOLARSHIP FEDERATION - CJSF
CJSF applications are due at the beginning of each semester. Students must re-apply every semester.
CJSF is a state-wide organization of over 600 chapters, created to foster high standards of scholarship, service, and citizenship on the part of students of California's public and private junior high and middle schools. CJSF prepares the student for high school and beyond. Membership also brings with it the opportunity to participate in activities which benefit the school, the community, and the student. CJSF membership is open to 8th graders of good academic standing.
Creekside acknowledges all members of CJSF in the Graduation program. In addition, Honor Members will receive:
The official gold CJSF Honor Membership Pin
A certificate of recognition with the CJSF gold seal
Honor Membership: To obtain honor membership, you must qualify for membership and complete all requirements for three consecutive trimesters starting with the Fall semester grades in 7th Grade. This means that 7th Graders apply for the first time in the Spring of 7th Grade and every consecutive semester. Applications are due at the start of every new semester. It is important to note that students must apply every semester and it is imperative that deadlines are met (ie: late applications will not be accepted).
At a minimum, CJSF is an opportunity for your student to receive a pin and certificate at graduation (for those achieving Honor Membership). However, for those interested in the possibility of more active membership, students can participate in the club meetings. We will coordinate efforts on creating service opportunities, leadership, and possibly even field trips for those who get involved with the club.
