Residency Requirement at CVHS

The District requires verification of residency for all students new to the District or re-enrolling and all incoming 9th grade students. All regular residency verifications are done in the Main Office located at 19400 Santa Maria Ave. Proof of residency forms can be found at http://www.cv.k12.ca.us/cvhs/. If you have any questions, please contact Castro Valley High School at 537-5910.

The following dates and times are for incoming freshmen from Canyon and Creekside Middle Schools only:

Thursday, February 7, 2019 4:15 – 5:45 p.m. Prior to Eighth Grade Parent Night,

Monday, March 4, 2019 4:15 – 6:00 p.m.

Thursday, April 11, 2019 4:15 – 6:00 p.m.

Saturday, May 4, 2019 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Wednesday, May 22, 2019 4:15 – 6:00 4:15 – 6:00 p.m.

 

Note: Classes will not be scheduled for incoming 9th graders until residency verification is completed. The final date for proving residency is May 2, 2019.

Summer Law Institute

The Summer Law Institute (SLI) is an intensive five-week program for rising ninth graders that seeks to inspire students to strive for academic excellence and to pursue careers in the law. SLI is the “gateway” to the Pathway to Law School Program at Chabot College, which is part of a statewide effort to help increase diversity in the legal profession.
