Welcome to Creekside Middle School

Cultivating academic excellence, equity, and responsibility.

The moment you step onto our campus, it is clear that student learning is our number one priority. Throughout the day students are involved in project-based learning, establishing lifelong health and fitness habits, learning to be good citizens, and developing a well-rounded, strong academic foundation. Every day our students are challenged with rigorous academic programs and high expectations. Our school community provides support for each student to be successful. Learning for our students is a sharing, laughing, risking, and questioning experience. We all believe each child should be prepared with skills, knowledge, and confidence for the demands of the 21st century.

ELAC Meeting, November 3, 6:30-8 in the Creekside Library

Please join us for the first meeting of this school year for EL families.  We will discuss site goals, get updated on Common Core, take a needs survey and choose our DELAC representative. Most importantly, we will build a campus community. Drinks and snacks will be provided.

DELAC Meeting, November 6, 6:30-8 at the SDC

In each DELAC meeting, we will provide training for EL families that empowers them to review our EL program with an equity lens, develop a needs assessment and provide input on strategies/activities that they feel would meet their needs.  Parent involvement and advocacy are  key components of increasing student achievement and getting kids college and career ready, and we strongly believe that DELAC is a means of providing that support that impacts kids in meaningful way.

Hello Creekside Families,

This is Walt Lewis, Principal of Creekside Middle School,

We are having an exciting week at Creekside with lots of great activities.

This week is spirit week.  In honor of Spirit week, students can wear Camouflage on Monday, Tie Die on Tuesday, Blue and Gold or Creekside Wear on Wednesday, and Costumes on Thursday (Costumes must still adhere to our dress code policies – for example: no fake guns or knives).

On Wednesday, October 29th, our 7th and 8th Grade Flag Football students will be playing Canyon in the Big Game.  We will be playing at Castro Valley High School.  The doors open at 6PM and the game starts at 6:30PM.  Please join us for this great community event benefitting Creekside Booster club.  Students can purchase tickets for $5.00 at lunchtime until Wednesday.  Tickets will be $7.00 on the evening of the Big Game.  It’s a great idea to buy the tickets during lunchtime to avoid the long lines at the Big Game.

This week, we will also be starting our mandatory tutorial schedule as part of our Response to Intervention program.  Although our school start and end time will remain the same, we will adjust our schedule during the day every Tuesday and Thursday from now until the end of the school year.  For adjusted class times and more information regarding our RTI program, please consult your child’s Binder reminder or check our website.

Students do not have school on Friday, October 31st as teachers participate in an optional staff development.
