Welcome to Creekside Middle School

Cultivating academic excellence, equity, and responsibility.

The moment you step onto our campus, it is clear that student learning is our number one priority. Throughout the day students are involved in project-based learning, establishing lifelong health and fitness habits, learning to be good citizens, and developing a well-rounded, strong academic foundation. Every day our students are challenged with rigorous academic programs and high expectations. Our school community provides support for each student to be successful. Learning for our students is a sharing, laughing, risking, and questioning experience. We all believe each child should be prepared with skills, knowledge, and confidence for the demands of the 21st century.

Hello Creekside Families,

This is Walt Lewis, principal of Creekside Middle School,

Our first Parent Teacher Club meeting will be Tuesday, September 9, at 7:00pm in the library. Our guest speakers will be Castro Valley Education Foundation member Gary Howard with an overview of this important organization; Charlene Griffin, presenting on the upcoming Parent University at the Castro Valley Adult School; and our very own 6th grade teacher, Fanny Machado, speaking on transitioning to middle school.

On Wednesday, September 10, at 7:00 pm, we will be hosting Creekside’s Back-to-School Night.  Sixth grade parents will met in the Multi-Purpose Room at 6:30 to for information on Outdoor School.  Your child should have delivered a flyer to you with a place to list your child’s classes.  Please be sure to bring a copy of your child’s schedule with you.  Just a reminder, although we would love it if we had space for students, this night is for parents.  Students will be invited to the Open House in the Spring.

I look forward to seeing everyone at these terrific Creekside events this week.
